The tablet market continues to get bigger and bigger, despite a noticeable drop in enthusiasm for these devices. ASUS is the latest OEM to bring a new option to the market, as the company quietly introduced the ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 at its Computex conference in Taipei.
The new ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 offers a slight upgrade over its predecessor as it now is powered by the Snapdragon 652 SoC and 4GB of RAM. ASUS also upgraded the base storage options as the new ZenPad 3S 8.0 offers either 32GB or 64GB, compared to the 16GB or 32GB options found in its predecessor.
ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 Specs
- 7.9-inch 2K Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC
- 3GB/4GB RAM
- 32GB/64GB Storage
- 5MP Front Camera
- 13MP Rear Camera
- 4,680mAh Battery
- Android 7.1 Nougat with ZenUI 3.5
We aren’t really sure why ASUS decided to keep this device quiet, but maybe it’s seen as just an incremental upgrade and doesn’t warrant much advertisement consideration. Unfortunately, pricing and availability for the device weren’t shared at Computex, but we expect the device to be offered around the $300 price point. Let us know what you think about the new ZenPad and if you would be interested in picking one up once it’s made official.
