Samsung Galaxy S10 5G pricing and availability officially confirmed

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is technically the most capable device in the Galaxy S10 lineup, but the device hasn’t officially been released yet since widespread 5G networks are still hard to come by. That all changes with South Korea’s first 5G network coming online this week. To mark the occasion, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be available for pre-order in South Korea on April 5 with an official April 15 retail launch date. 

Samsung carrier partners will sell the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G with 256GB of storage for 1.39 million won ($1,231 USD) while the 512GB model will be listed at 1.55 million won ($1,366 USD). The more expensive model will be available in Crown Silver and Majestic Black, but the cheaper model will also include the Royal Gold color option. 

There’s still no official word on when the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be made available in the US. AT&T will likely be the first US service provider to sell the phone since it has already rolled out 5G coverage in 12 markets, but Verizon is expected to flip the 5G switch this month in a handful of markets with a total of 30 planned to receive limited 5G coverage by the end of the year. T-Mobile and Sprint do have 5G plans for this year as well, but both companies are waiting to see if their merger is approved before they announce the comprehensive 5G strategy.
