While CES is set to kick into high gear early next week, Samsung has decided to get ahead of its competitors by unveiling the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite ahead of the show.
The two phones are practically indistinguishable on the outside since they feature more of the same design elements. Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and the S10 Lite feature 6.7-inch 1080×2400 displays with centered hold-punch cutouts for their 32MP f/2.2 selfie cameras. When you flip the phones over, the rectangular camera bump on the back does set them apart (just a little), but it’s the S Pen which slots into the bottom of the Galaxy Note 01 Lite which is the only true giveaway as to which phone you are looking at.
As for the internal specifications of the two phones, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lige and Galaxy S10 Lite do have a number of differences when it comes to the cameras and processors used by these tow phones.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is equipped with an unnamed 7-nanometer octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz. The phone has a 48MP main camera sensor, but Samsung has also included a 12MP sensor which is paired with an ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is powered by a 10-nanometer octa-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz and its triple camera system features the 12MP sensors which are paired with standard, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses.
All the other specs appear to be the same. Samsung is offering 6GB or 8GB of RAM options, 128GB of storage and a microSD card slot if you still have on of those lying around, a 4,500 mAh battery with fast charging, in-display fingerprint sensor and facial recognition for biometric security.
Unlike Samsung’s flagship devices, the 6.7-inch AMOLED displays used on the Note 10 lite andS10 Lite do not have curved displays. This change will certainly help reduce the overall component and manufacturing cost for the phone. While we expect these two ghones to be cheaper than their flagship counterparts, Samsung has yet to announce pricing and availability details for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite.
