We know that the Huawei P40 is due out early this year, so little surprise that the leaks should start picking up momentum. Today we have another series of renders courtesy of 91mobiles.
These certainly line up with what we saw last month, but thankfully there’s quite a bit more detail this time around. The front of the device being visible and showing off dual front-facing hole-punch cameras, reminiscent of the Galaxy S10+, but on the left as we’ve seen Huawei do with the nova 5T.
And while the rectangular camera bump was visible in the previous renders, we clearly see a triple camera array this time around making this the P40 rather than the P40 Pro which is expected to feature a fourth camera. We are still in the dark on the exact specifications for these cameras on either device.
Obviously I would expect Huawei to spice things up a bit from the bland black look in these renders, but the rest of the hardware seems entirely plausible. Personally, the large camera bump in the upper corner of this device would make it another device that I couldn’t use without a case, but that’s par for the course these days. I’m surprised we haven’t seen anyone else borrow from Oppo’s clever camera protecting bump on the back of its devices.
While the political climate continues to make things difficult for Huawei in the west, we are still big fans of the company’s hardware and can’t wait to finally see everything the P40 and P40 Pro have to offer.
