It has been a while since we’ve seen a smartphone from HTC, but if you’re a fan of the company’s offerings, you might be interested to learn that HTC has since announced its latest smartphone.
No, it is not a high-end flagship, but rather this model comes in the form of an entry-level device called the HTC Wildfire R70. But don’t let the term entry-level fool you because for a phone that’s been categorized as such, it actually packs some pretty decent hardware, such as a triple camera setup that’s typically reserved for higher-end flagship models.
The Wildfire R70 will feature a triple camera on the back that consists of a 16MP main camera with an f/1.75 aperture. This is accompanied by a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor that will help with the bokeh effects. Granted, it doesn’t sound like the most powerful camera, but it should be good enough to get the job done.
Other specs include a MediaTek’s Helio P23 chipset, 2GB of RAM (which is a bit concerning), 32GB of expandable memory, a 4,000mAh battery, and a 6.53-inch LCD with a 720p+ resolution. It will also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who still believe in using wired headphones.
Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing yet, but given its specs, we don’t imagine that it will be breaking the bank. If a higher-end model is what you’re after, we heard that HTC does have plans to launch a 5G smartphone later this year.
