As we pointed out in our Motorola Moto G Fast review, this budget-friendly smartphone has a decent camera when compared to other devices within the category. On the back of the phone, the Moto G Fast has a triple camera setup with a 16MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide (118˚) and a 2MP macro camera. While the macro camera is practically useless due to the incredibly low resolution of the sensor, the other two cameras on the back of the phone manage to take decent pictures when lighting conditions are favorable. Personally, I’m a fan of the 118˚ ultrawide camera since it’s a bit wider than what we see on most other smartphones, allowing for some interesting shots.

As for the 8MP front-facing camera on the Moto G Fast, the results aren’t going to blow you away, but the images it delivers are a step above what we’ve seen from competing devices. The phone is also capable of recording 4K/30 from its rear cameras and 1080p/30 from the front-facing cameras with electronic image stabilization which manages to keep the video relatively smooth while walking.
