We’re less than five days away from Google’s final unveiling of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Just as we suspected, this has left the door open for more leaks to spoil Google’s fun. After last weekend’s massive leak thanks to Carphone Warehouse (and @evleaks), a series of leaks now give us a bit more of a clue as to what the phones will be capable of.
The first of which comes via @_snoopytech_on Twitter, who managed to provide two separate 30-minute commercials for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. For the most part, the ad spots show off the same features across the board. This includes things like Magic Eraser that “makes distractions disappear”, along with Live Translate that will translate messages, conversations, and pictures with “no internet required”.
Easily the most interesting part of these videos is the Magic Eraser feature. In the videos, the person in the background is automatically removed, with the tap of an on-screen button. We’re hoping it will be this easy, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was done just for the dramatic effect.
Additionally, we get a sneak peek at “Security Hub”, that “helps protect your phone”, and includes the following options in a new settings panel:
- Security
- Find My Device
- Security update
- Screen lock
- Fingerprint Unlock
- Google Security Checkup
Both videos end with a glimpse at two different Home Screen setups showing off Material You and some of the new widgets coming. They both also end up with the “For All You Are” tagline, again pointing to how Material You will transform your phone into a completely unique device.
