By Two things: firstly, Sprint’s getting the Kyocera Zio. We already know what the almighty “Cricket Android phone” is all about, but this is the first we’ve ever heard of Sprint getting it. It sits with Sprint branding alongside another supposed Android handset that we’ve never seen – the Samsung Transform. This device looks a lot like a Galaxy S device, but its obviously-shopped image would suggest that it’s running stock Android.
No more info can be had from this particular leak. Hell, I don’t even know what this image is of and where it came from. Just know that Sprint’s hard at work on their next Android handsets and – with all due respect to Kyocera/Sanyo and Samsung here – they’re probably aiming at the mid-range market with these.

that would be sweet to see a galaxy s running on the stock android ui, and not the touchwiz 3.0 ui. i like tw 3.0 on the vibrant, but i would love to see what this phone can really do when running stock android.
If Sprint gets a stock Android touchscreen device (no hardware keyboard) with halfway decent hardware and a 3.7″ screen or smaller (so it fits in a normal sized pocket), I’d get it in a heartbeat. I’m about to enter my upgrade period, and I’m ready to upgrade from my Moment.
That thing does look a lot like a Galaxy S phone.
Maybe it’s just me but there seems to be a front facing camera on the Samsung Transform
Yup..definitely looks like a camera hole. My friends fascinate does not have that hole on the right of the earpiece. But the 2 smaller holes on the left side of the earpiece grill on his are sensors. So yes I’m betting front camera.

4″ SAMOLED screen, no keyboard, sounds interesting… It’s hard to keep up with the new androids the carriers are pushing out. EXACTLY the reason I haven’t upgraded my Hero yet (been months of waiting). Was going to this week, but might wait even longer to see what comes down the road by the holidays…

It lists that it has a QWERTY Keyboard but I’m not sure if it’s actually referring to a physical keyboard or a soft touch keyboard, and Samsung just has to reference it in its filings. I’m trying to find out if the same is said for other Samsung phones like the intercept or the moment( I didn’t see it on the Epic’s filings).
Derf, after some quick search it looks like the follow up to the Samsung Intercept(M910) which is a follow up to the Moment(M920).
My moneys on this being a step down from the Epic(D700) with a slower Hummingbird(hopefully).
I’d snatch this phone up the in a jiffy if it doesn’t have a physical keyboard(my disdain for a jerky mechanism would love just a soft touch keyboard).
If it is 3g and doesn’t have the qwerty slide out i will get it for sure. Slide out Qwerty’s seem to make phone’s feel fragile.
Just noticed that the sprint.com/android link is no longer showing the Intercept or the Moment. Hope the Transform is a good phone. I need one for my son and don’t want to pay the extra $10 a month – he doesn’t need 4G.

dont get the moment!it is a horribly phone.it runs on ancient android 1.6 OS.The Epic is really cool.id rather get the epic than this Transform.
