Alongside the debut of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google introduced the all-new Pixel Stand v2. This wireless charging stand offers a different design compared to the original version which was released back with the Pixel 3. Pre-orders for the Pixel Stand v2 opened in mid-November, but we have not heard much about when Google’s wireless charger would actually begin shipping.
That’s since changed as 9to5Google has shared that Google has started charging payment methods with some users even receiving shipping notifications. But going even further, the Pixel Stand v2 is now available for pre-order from the likes of Amazon and Best Buy and will arrive as soon as tomorrow.
This $79 wireless charger offers charging speeds up to 23W for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro while reaching 15W EPP speeds for compatible devices. But the great thing about this isn’t just that you can charge pretty much any of your devices with it. Instead, it’s the fact that it transforms your Pixel 6 or 6 Pro into a digital photo frame or a smart home controller when docked.
There’s a built-in fan designed to help keep your phone as cool as possible while charging it as quickly as possible. But Google also integrated different fan speeds so it will still be extremely quiet in the event that you are charging your Pixel 6 while on a video call or watching a movie.
We’re excited to get our hands on the new Pixel Stand v2, but unfortunately, our pre-order hasn’t been updated just yet. Perhaps that will change over the course of the day, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Let us know if you have any questions about Google’s new charging stand, and keep your eyes peeled for our hands-on with the Pixel Stand.
