A social media post from noted tech informant Evan Blass features a photo from Samsung, which shows off the rugged characteristics of the XCover6 Pro. The product render shows the phone being blasted by sand and water, which we can imagine it will be able to withstand thanks to its heavy-duty hardware design.
As far as hardware specs go, it’s expected that the Galaxy Xcover6 Pro will come with a TFT display, with a notch for the front-facing camera, a dual-camera module on the phone’s rear panel, 5G connectivity, a removable battery, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is set to launch alongside the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, via an online event to be held on July 13, 2022.
Samsung is expected to reveal the full specs list, pricing, and regional availability of the two devices during the event. Fans and Android users looking for a brand-new rugged smartphone and/or tablet will have to do a bit more waiting to get their heavy-duty Android fix.
