It looks like Samsung’s latest addition to its rugged device line-up – the Galaxy XCover6 Pro – has finally launched for certain regions, after additional leaked images of the device were shown yesterday. An online store listing of the device is now available for viewing, although it isn’t up for sale yet.
More specifically, the listing comes from Samsung’s Germany website, where a page detailing the device’s full specs sheet, key features, as well as additional promotional material has now gone up.
In terms of hardware, the Xcover6 Pro will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 6.4-inch LCD display with a teardrop notch and 120Hz refresh rate, a dual 50MP and 8MP camera set-up at the back, a 13MP front-facing camera, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage with a micro-SD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 4,050 mAh battery, which is replaceable thanks to the removable back cover on the phone. All of this is wrapped up in a reinforced casing which comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The XCover6 Pro will come with Android 12 with Samsung’s One UI, and will receive up to four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.
While the phone has essentially been announced in Germany, there’s still no official word from Samsung regarding regional availability and pricing, although we might here more details in the coming days and weeks.
