As we get closer and closer to the end of summer, we’re bound to see a lot more tech product launches throughout the year. August 10 in particular is an interesting date as Samsung will be hosting its upcoming launch event for its next wave of foldable devices, but the South Korean tech giant will have to share the spotlight as Oppo will likewise unveil its new Oppo Watch 3 on the same date.
A teaser image by Oppo shows a rotating watch crown accompanied by a date for the launch event in China, scheduled for 7PM local time. It’s expected that the Oppo Watch 3 will come with the new Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, which was announced a few weeks back. The new wearable is also rumored to feature a 1.91-inch AMOLED display, and might come in three different variants.
Additionally, the device will feature ColorOS 13, and with come with your usual array of smartwatch features like HR and SpO2 tracking, a water-resistant build, NFC, and even e-SIM support. A while back, Franco Li, OPPO Associate Vice President and President of IoT Business, stated that OPPO and Qualcomm have been working together for a long time, and confirmed that the next Oppo wearable will launch this month, making it the first product to be released with the new Qualcomm chip.
