Sonos has several speaker products under its belt, such as subwoofers. Unfortunately, the current model the company offers is kind of expensive, which is why we imagine some Sonos fans might have been thrilled when there rumors started circulating that the company could be working on something cheaper.
It looks like the rumors were right because Sonos has since officially taken the wraps off its latest subwoofer, the Sonos Sub Mini, that comes with a much more affordable price tag. While the Sub Mini is cheaper, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the company is skimping on its features.
It will come with dual force-cancelling woofers to help generate that low-end sound without all the buzzing and distortion. There is also support for features like Sonos Trueplay (which unfortunately is still an iOS exclusive), and it also works seamlessly with other Sonos products which means that you can hook it up to other Sonos speakers to create a more complete sound experience.
If the new Sonos Sub Mini sounds like a subwoofer you might be interested in, it is priced at $429. While $429 isn’t exactly cheap, it is cheaper than the other subwoofers that Sonos is offering so it could be a good place to start if you’re shopping on a tighter budget, but still want to boost the low-end from your speaker system.
