Samsung’s mid-range phones are getting an improvement in call quality

0

When it comes to higher-end smartphones versus the low or mid-range devices, the differences go beyond just the chipset used, cameras, and design. There are a lot of other differentiating factors that we might not necessarily notice or pay attention to, like the microphones used where higher-end models might come with better noise-cancelling features.

The good news is that if you own one of Samsung’s mid-rangers, the company has announce that they will be bringing their Voice Focus feature to more of their mid-range phones, which includes the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, and the Galaxy A73 5G, as part of the One UI 5.0 update.

For those unfamiliar, Voice Focus is a software feature that is designed to help cut down on background noise during a call by boosting the vocal frequencies so that your voice sounds clearer to the caller. It works not just with the default phone app, but also third-party apps that support voice calling like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, and Zoom.

The feature had previously debuted on devices like the Galaxy F23 5G, Galaxy M33 5G, and the Galaxy M53 5G, but now it looks like it will be rolling out to more devices, so keep an eye out for the update if this is a feature you think you can appreciate.
