The Nothing Phone (1) is currently only available in a handful of countries, but if you recall, it was just recently that the company’s CEO Carl Pei announced that they would be looking to expand to the US. The good news is that if you’ve been hoping to get your hands on the phone through official channels, you now can, kind of.
In an announcement by Pei, he has revealed that the company is now preparing a launch of the Nothing Phone (1) in the US via a testing program. This testing program will allow select customers access to the phone, but unfortunately Pei did not dive into the details or how users could sign up to be part of it.
Preparing for a US launch 🇺🇸
While Android 13 Open Beta is gradually being rolled out in our existing markets, we will be extending it to the US market via a testing program with access to Phone (1). Would love to get feedback from our community there. Stay tuned.

The Nothing Phone (1) is a decent phone although we suppose what really brings it home is the unique glyph design on the back of the handset. This is a set of LED lights that will shine and pulsate and change color depending on the event, which is a pretty cool way of displaying notifications.
Other than that, the Nothing Phone (1) is pretty much a standard mid-range handset, but if you want to be an “early” adopter for the handset in the US market, then check back with us later for more details on how to potentially participate in this test program that will let you get your hands on the phone.
