Fitbit recently announced that it will soon launch an updated version of the Fitbit app, which will give users a lot more freedom in terms of customization and personalization. While the update isn’t available until later this fall, users can try out the new app via a limited beta to share feedback.
As per an official post from Fitbit:
The redesigned Fitbit app pushes us toward our vision of helping make everyone in the world healthier, and we’ll continue to update it with user feedback from this beta. Over time, we’ll keep enhancing the Fitbit platform and app through ongoing updates that support new experiences, devices and data.
According to Fitbit, the new app will come with new tabs that will let users keep an eye on their data, progress, and more. The “Today” tab will let users view top stats instantly, while the “Coach” tab will feature a specially-curated list of workouts and mindfulness sessions. There’s also a “You” tab that will let users adjust personal details and goals, manage community connections, and track achievements as well.
Fitbit adds that the new app will come with changes based on user feedback, for better navigation and ease of use. This includes a more refined color theme based on Material Design, easier health tracking for users, and improved security for privacy and personal data.
