Xiaomi’s Redmi K60 Ultra Packs Some Impressive Hardware

0

Xiaomi recently announced the latest addition to its Redmi smartphone lineup on the form of the Redmi K60 Ultra, which counts as one of the brand’s most high-end smartphones thanks to a solid set of hardware features. It also follows after the Redmi K60, K60 E, and K60 Pro, which were launched a while back.

The Redmi K60 Ultra comes with a 6.67-inch display with a 1.5K resolution, and gets rather bright with up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness. It also features a 144Hz refresh rate, in addition to a 480Hz touch sampling rate. It also houses the in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 20MP selfie camera. The phone also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Inside the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which comes with up to 24GB of RAM, making it one of the few devices on the market to feature an impressive amount of RAM onboard. Additionally, the 24GB variant also comes with 1TB of internal storage, as well as Xiaomi’s custom X7 graphics chip, which is designed to achieve up to 144fps in supported games.

The Redmi K60 Ultra packs a triple-camera setup, which includes a 54MP main sensor which can record up to 8K resolution videos. This is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens, as well as a 2MP macro camera. The device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, which comes with fast-charging support as well as a 120W charger, that’s thankfully included in the box.

The phone starts at around $355 for the 12GB/256GB version (when converted), although at the moment there’s no mention of a global release yet.
