Streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+ have only been available as paid services, meaning that there’s no free, ad-supported tier and if you wanted to watch their shows, you would have to purchase a monthly subscription.
Not too long ago, Netflix launched a cheaper ad-supported tier to get customers to come on board, and later Disney has followed suit with Disney+. To encourage customers to subscribe, the company is now running a promotion for its ad-supported tier, making it quite a tempting deal.
With this promotion, customers can subscribe to the ad-supported tier at just $1.99 a month for three months, after which it will expire and go back to its original price of $7.99 a month. This offer is only good until the 20th of September, so you’ve got a few weeks to think about whether or not you want to give this a shot.
At the moment, Disney+ is priced at $10.99 a month without ads, but starting next month, the ad-free tier will see a price increase to $13.99 a month, meaning that the ad-supported tier will see you save $7 a month which is quite substantial if you don’t mind putting up with ads.
