Ubisoft’s “Prince of Persia” series is undoubtedly one of the most influential franchises in modern gaming history, especially with the series’ debut on platforms such as the PS2. With that being said, while it’s been more or less dormant for the past years, players and fans can once again revisit the Prince of Persia series with Ubisoft’s latest entry, The Lost Crown.
The Lost Crown brings back the franchise to its side-scrolling roots, and adopts a very Metroidvania-inspired approach to gameplay. Players step into the shoes of Sargon, who must battle his way through different bosses and enemies to rescue a royal hostage.
The game has so far received impressive reviews from various gaming sites, which usually describe the gameplay as a nice mix of platforming and action elements. and is finally available today on different platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series S|X, as well as the Nintendo Switch.
