There hasn’t been much talk going around about the HTC Merge as of late. Aside from a few leaked product listings and whispers that we should have seen back on the 11th, not much has come out to give us any clear indication of when the device might launch. Well,until now. Wind has been caught of a Verizon HTC Merge/HTC Incredible “Cabaret” going down this Thursday, November 18th.
Of note is that the event calls the device the HTC Droid Merge, which would be the first time we have seen the Droid brand associated with the handset. Initial thoughts were that the phone would not become a member of the line.
Are we just a few days away from seeing this bad boy? We’ll see.

PLEASE let it be that the “Droid” label sticks, and that Bing has been changed to Google… Not getting my hopes up, though…
Or maybe a compiling of the two names, like Dirge or M-roid.

I agree with double on both points. A relaunch? Maybe if they are adding something additional. And people that troll around like tools just to type first on second really need to find more productive things to do with their time or graduate high school before they visit community sites to offer input.
@ LCW negative, the HTC rep told me about this phone almost a month ago, it’s on the 3g and has an 800 mgh processor in it, but its supposed to be super fast and badass

Wouldn’t be surprised if it is part of the Droid line. It already has the red coloring like all of the other Droid phones. Why would they add the red if they didn’t want it to be part of that group?

That would never happen you know at&t is on the apple teet so they will never have a phone that compares or is actually better then their iphone
Has anyone else noticed that in several of the promotional shots of the Merge it’s pictured with Sense in landscape mode?? I’m hoping that this means landscape mode (and thus a desktop dock) is coming for the Incredible too…
Any thoughts on this vs. the D2 WE? Specs are largely the same right? I know people on this forum seem to like HTC better than any other manufacturer, but besides that are there any compelling reasons to go with the Merge over the Moto?
In every leaked picture of the Merge there is something blurred out on the bottom/front of the Merge. Even in AndroidCentral’s hands on, phil always keeps his finger over this area. I bet it says droid there and they are keeping it a secret until its debut.
