At this point there have been a ton of rumors and speculation regarding Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series chips, which are intended to be used for Windows-powered devices. After all, Qualcomm is more known for its mobile SoCs which power a wide range of Android devices, and given the company’s track record it only makes sense for it to manufacture hardware for full-fledged computers.

As such, the folks over at Winfuture report that Qualcomm has been working on at least four different variants of the Snapdragon X Plus, and has been testing at least two versions of the chip for the past few months. According to the available information, the chips come with model numbers X1P44100 and X1P46100, although specific details such as hardware configurations remain unknown at the moment.
It is expected that the chips will come with a Snapdragon X65 5G modem on board, meaning that there will likely be support for 5G connectivity, as well as 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, and up to ten computing cores. With all that being said though, a specific release date is unknown at the moment, at least until Qualcomm gives us more info regarding the Snapdragon X platform.
