Microsoft Brings Back an Iconic Look to the Xbox Home Menu

0

Ahead of the Xbox 360 store’s upcoming closure on July 29, 2024, Microsoft recently announced some updates regarding its plans moving forward. For one, several titles are currently enjoying super low prices on Microsoft’s online store (or via the xbox 360 store on the console). The price reductions will remain in place for each game through the 360 store until July 29.

Once the store closes, users can no longer purchase new games, DLC, or other media content from the Xbox 360 Store on the console and the Xbox 360 Marketplace. With that said though, this change will not affect access to Xbox 360 games or DLC that users have already purchased, as they will still be available to play.

Microsoft has also brought back the “Blades” user interface from the original Xbox 360 for newer consoles via a dynamic background. To get the Xbox 360 Blades background, users will need to follow these steps:

  • Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  • Navigate to Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Dynamic backgrounds.
  • Choose Xbox 360 Blades under Featured or Xbox dynamic backgrounds
  • Select the background art you want using the A button.
