With Google’s upcoming launch event only a few weeks away, we’ve once again gotten a sneak peek at the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro, albeit “officially” this time. We’re of course referring to a new product trailer posted by Google on its social media accounts, teasing the Pixel 9 series launch in August.

The quick 30-second trailer starts off with a break-up letter of sorts being written via Gemini, an unsurprising approach given Google’s heavy push towards AI integration with its smartphones. The video eventually pans out to show the Pixel 9 Pro and its redesigned camera module, followed by the August 13 launch date.

This isn’t the first time that the Pixel 9 series has made an appearance online – countless leaked photos and hands-on units have earlier shown Google’s upcoming flagship devices, and at this point we have a pretty good idea of what to expect once the new phones make their debut.

Recently, leaked hardware specs predict that Google might be using newer camera sensors on some of the upcoming Pixel 9 models. For one, Google will be using a brand-new Sony IMX858 sensor in the base model Pixel 9, which allows for better low-light performance. Another new change includes a newer selfie camera with autofocus, a feature that was previously reserved for the Pro Pixel models.
