Here are the new Disney+ prices

Streaming services typically raise their prices over time. This is to cover the costs of things like additional servers, investments into new TV shows and movies, licensing deals, and so on. If you’re a Disney+ subscriber, then here are the new prices that you can expect to pay moving forwards.

Starting from the 17th of October, Disney+ subscribers can expect to pay $9.99 a month for the Disney+ Basic plan. The Premium plan will also see an increase of $2 to $15.99. The price hike will also affect the bundled plans. For instance, the Disney+ plan that includes Hulu with ads will now cost $10.99 a month, while the ad-free version will cost $19.99 a month.

These new prices will apply to both existing and new subscribers. If you’re already subscribed, then the new prices will take effect in your next billing cycle. Disney had previously announced the new prices, but it is only now coming into effect. If your next billing cycle hasn’t arrived yet, then you can always cancel your subscription if you’re not feeling these prices.

Disney did say that they will try to make these new prices more worth it by adding more content, but it remains to be seen if the new content will be enough to keep customers around.
