We’re dedicated to bringing you Android hotness but we want to bring it to you in the best way possible. The “Apps” button in the navbar and the revival of the Phandroid Podcast are already 2 things we’re working on.

  1. Excellent source of Android information. As you are already doing, putting the sources is important.

I would like to see the phone section, which is a very good idea, updated at the same time as the news.

The double bar under the phandroid logo is a bit weird, but seems standard in this kind of news website…

  2. I like the way the website is structured. I would be awsome if u guys could send out some type of alert when ur stories drop as i periodlicly check ur page a few times a day. Also have more stories of homebrewed androids to inform root users who r late to information that y guys have the scoop on b4 others. One more thing have the ability to provide a mirroir for downloads for developers. I guess that last one could be intergrated into the apps on the nav bar. What happend the the Cyanogen podcast interview??,?????

  3. Congratulations! You are easily one of the top 3 android sites in my mind… keep up the good work!

  4. I really enjoy your coverage of Andriod devices. You guys are really on the cutting edge of the latest Android news IMHO. I’d like to see a little bit more coverage of the android software, I’m still waiting to get an Android device and most people have only demonstrated the basics of the Android software online. I know you’ve covered the software too but I’d like to see more in depth coverage of the software and updates from your point of view, maybe in review form.

  5. It would be awesome if you could start reviewing android software and talk about upcoming stuff. Developer interviews would be a cool addition too. Android game of the week maybe? I know there are some games for android, but can they stand up against what the iPhone offers?

  6. I’m pretty happy with phandroid. It would be nice to have more frequent podcasts again. I think the Apps-Link and the Store-Link should be removed. They lead to nothing.

  7. I like seeing about the new phones that will be coming out. I agree with decon, perhaps talking about some of the software in the market or anything you can dig up about new android software would be cool.

  8. updates on new apps and your ratings would be pretty awesome. as far as news goes you are pretty on top of things, but the forum could be a little more active.

  9. I would really like to be able to have spaces in between my paragraphs.

It really bugs me, especially when people write long comments and I can’t break it down properly.

P.S. That is, if the problem persists.

  10. If there’s something that I want to know about Android or the way the community is going, Phandroid is the first place I check. The timely news and interesting articles are what keeps people coming back, and you’ve certainly got that under your belt.

    Keep it up, guys. :B

  11. I for one would love to see the podcast return. I’m not sure why you guys stopped doing it, but I won’t assume anything. I did notice that Rob Jackson seems to be the sole journalist for the site these days, so maybe differences? I’m not sure.

I love your coverage on new phones and carrier news. Like a previous poster said, more app reviews would be greatly appreciated, or even just a PSA.

I was somewhat disappointed to see that Phandroid did not participate in the Android Network Awards. Being one of the bigger sources of android information in the community, you guys could’ve really helped get the movement the recognition it deserves and needs.

Other than that, though, I think the site is still the greatest Android blog out there for news. You’re consistent, your journalism is thorough and accurate, and even though you’re supposed to show bias, you aren’t afraid to slap anything android on the wrist a couple of times.

Even if I don’t win, I hope that some of my suggestions and concerns are considered, or at the very least read.

  12. My first comment on phandroid. I’ve been only a reader till now.
The news are perfect as they are. That’s why I’m coming back to phandroid 2-3 times a day. What I’d like to see very very very much is a good coverage of the the best android apps in the apps section, because currently I can’t find a good information source for the quality android apps. The Top Apps category in the android market sucks.
Also, in the upcoming days the android developer challenge should start. I’d like to see a good coverage of the apps there.

  13. Great site. I would like to hear more about software (like what’s available and great in the Android Market) and more focus on phones available in the US (not so much on prospective phones that may never make it to market, especially in the US). More videos of the phones in action are always welcome because it’s great to see how they work and understand their strengths and weaknesses a bit before deciding to go test one yourself in the store.

  14. Appreciate all the coverage about the upcoming Hero and Samsung InstinctQ. Will be following closely to help determine which phone I buy in October (I HOPE!)

  15. I’ve been visiting Phandroid on a daily basis for over two months now. The only complaint I really have is sometimes the load times are really slow.

  16. You guys are great, keeping the readers excited about android while not sounding too boring like other sites. Only suggestion I could think of is improving your phandroid app. Maybe make it possible to comment in the app. Also have all the other sections in the app like phones and the future app section

  17. You guys are doing a great job.I’ve been reading
Your page for the last three months and I can’t get enough
I’m always refreshing to every hour.keep up the great job.
Ps.pls hurry with the “app” in the nav thanks.

  18. Everything i look for here is so easy to find and this is my numero uno android sitekeep up the good work guys

  19. How about you allow people to “View More” from the home page. Instead of having to click on an article to read more than the first few lines, there should be a link that makes the rest of the article “drop down” on the home page.

  20. It’s me, Gary (dreamache).

Here’s some design tips for the home page.

    1. Adjust the line-height to a lesser value on the news title link. For instance, on the latest post (this post), “Awesomeness!” falls down too far beneath the title text above it. You want them a bit closer.

    2. Give each image that shows up to the left of the text a 1px to 3px solid border of a faint beige color (as used on the right menu background).

    3. I would experiment with line-height of the text to the right of the image. I think bringing the lines of text closer together (vertically) will be better looking and allow you to show more text.

    4. Instead of a […], I’d either try to make that stand out more by bolding it, or use something else more prominent like “Read More” and bold that.

    There you have it.

  21. Mi apologias. It seems 2 of the things I spoke about, Rob has already mentioned they’re working on. Great!

  22. oh and I agree with decon. app of the week, game of the week sounds good:)…. by the way this is a great contest.. can’t wait till phandroid becomes even better :):):):)

  23. Your site is one of best of my android RSS feeds for news, and unique articles that haven’t already appeared on 10 other sites. I’d love to continue to see reviews for apps we don’t already know about, and the forums definitely could gain some ground on what goes on over at xda-dev. This could be the one-stop android site if it weren’t for the xda dream forums.
But, Keep up the good work!

  24. Great work so far guys! How about a section in the site detailing how to root android phones with different roms? Information about the new mods out there (maybe statistics or a poll on what rom is the most stable or popular) should also be a must.

After all, a good majority of those of us that are into Android follow it religiously due to how much the OS can be customized.

  25. double thumbs up from me!

    really likethe new look!:)

areas of improvement… the “autoformatting” in the comments gets in the way of how i like to post messages – it takes out spaces between paragraphs:(

but overall, doing great! keep up the good work!:)

  26. I’d love to see spotlights on Android App developers. I know there are a ton of applications out there, but I feel I never get to see all the “cool” apps. It’d also be nice to know a little bit about the developers behind the app too(considering us software engineers never get our shine! ;) )

Congrats on hitting such a goal. Keep up the good work. I’ll keep coming back, that’s for sure.

  27. You guys are my #1 Android resource so I think you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

  28. Thanks for the opportunity to be heard! I’m a faithful reader via RSS, and come by the site and forums a few times a week too. I would like to see a more ‘developed’ section for developers. It would be great to see example source code and downloadable projects to get a better feel for how code works on the phones. Also, it might be neat to try making some sort of an option for “community” projects where multiple people with different skill sets (programmer, artist, tester, etc…) can all team up on one project and have a place to collaborate and share their project with others (like sourceforge for Android!)

  29. This site is great. It’s one of my first reads every day.

I would like to see more of a rating system on the phones and maybe apps when those launch. You have done reviews of the phones which are great, but as more and more phones come to the market, it will be good to have a rating system to choose between them.

    Keep up the great work!

  30. I’ve been following you for quite awhile now. Really love the site.

One thing I would love to see is a little more diversity in news posts. Most of what I read here also pops up on engadget and a few other tech websites. I’d like to see more in the way of a set of “hacked” news if you will. Get a person who is on top of the root scene and hacking android info. Also maybe a few other categories as well, like accessories column, and game/app reviewer.

Keep up the good work Rob.

  31. I have an idea for the site. A page for new users to Android that answers questions. It’s a simple guide for new users to hop quickly into the OS.

I have an Android G1 and I would like to:

    Play podcasts.
    Download Videos.
    Read my Google Reader.
    Etc…

  32. Great articles and news about upcoming Android phones. Would love to see more reviews about apps; not necessarily the big name releases, but maybe just some more random and quirky ones.

  33. Great site. Data needs to be sorted by tags or something. There is OS type news there is new phone type news. Also hacking news can be sorted out.

  34. Great android news. This has become a favorite on my android and I check it daily. I wish there was a way to just to post other than clicking on the title, as I read the preview I may scroll past the title then have scroll back up. Great site.

  35. Great job on the site so far. I read it every day waiting for news about Android comming to ATT so I can ditch my Iphone :( . Only time will tell whether I stay with ATT or move to another carrier when my contract is up.

I would like to see the APP store installed as I love searching apps that I would use when I get my Android Device. Other than that great job on the site keep up the good work.

  36. I started frequenting this site ever since I pre-ordered my myTouch 3G and was biting my nails daily waiting to take out the UPS man when he came. Now I drink my morning coffee and pull up this site to stay up with the current android goodies.

Ways to improve…idk seems pretty top notch to me but maybe just get that apps link going. Maybe a daily featured app along one of your sidebars that links into your apps section. Maybe if we as an android community show love and support to the apps that show us love back, there will be more desire for developers to hook us up with something new more often.

  37. undoubtedly one of the best sources, nothing particular to improve. Stay phandroid!

  38. I think you guys are doing great, I can think of two things I like to read.

One would be op-ed pieces. Articles on the state of things with android, etc.

The other would be app reviews. Its great to find an app you didnt even know existed by reading one of the various reviews around the web.

  39. I love this site and always check here for my Android news (first site that I visit every morning here at work actually haha)! Keep up the good work!

  40. I would like to see more App reviews and updates on when hot new apps arrive. Also maybe more info on rooting and custom firmwares available would be awesome. Great site keep it up.

  41. I do not know what you guys have in store for us in regards to the APP Page but I think you should work something out with http://www.cyrket.com and integrate his Android Market search capabilities into your site. An all in one Android one stop shop type deal! I LOVE IT!

Android Market and other sites allow viewers to quickly view the most popular apps but i dont want that. there are a lot of stupid people out there that like stupid apps and these popularity lists dont always show the most interesting/useful apps. I want you to design and place on your APPS page a DIFFERENT kind of tool to allow users to view interesting/useful apps. I can not come up with any type of rating system or anything else that can avoid the stupidity of the masses but that is what I leave up to you guys! Thanks!

  42. Love this website, nothing negative to say.

Would be cool to have a section for Android applications development guides/tools/tips.

    Keep up the good work.

  43. I love Phandroid, this is my first stop in my android website visits. First here, then the other sites and back here again just in case something new has popped up.

My only complaint is that occasionally the site take a while to load make me have to wait for my “Phandroid phix”.

  44. I have always been a fan of phandroid, it is my favorite android site and always will be. I love the way it works and I have slim to no problems with it. But since were pulling stuff out, it would be great to see improvements on the phandroid app. Being about anything.

  45. Phandroid is great… I would like to see some reader submitted reviews on apps for the android platform.

  46. I appreciate this post. Helps to clear up the mis-information on all Android issues, news, and apps.

    Thanks Phandroid!

    PU

  47. Excellent site, plenty of great information. You guys bridge the gap between the development community and Android-OS and hardware news stories VERY well. As far as suggestions, perhaps a detailed FAQ with info on rooting, cooked ROM’s and links to resources for rooting HTC and non-HTC devices (ADB, SKU, Fastboot, etc)? If this already exists, I haven’t seen it.

  48. I don’t even have an Android phone and I always find myself visiting you guys, waiting for the latest phones to be released when my contract lets up in October. I’d like the phone tab to be updated more often though, because I find myself scrolling through pages of posts rather than using it since it’s a little outdated. Otherwise, there’s nothing to suggest to a great site.

    Keep it coming!

  49. hey PHANDROID what up just wanted to say nice work am happy that PHANDROID has gotten 1000,000 views and keep it up because every morning i wake up go too my Google chrome and click on PHANDROID 1st then some other application.

with love haha michael a aka babyBIGboss lol

  50. I think this is the best website for android news. I’m always checking this site like 20 times a day. You guys have great coverage of all the android stuff going on. I even have the Phandroid widget on my MyTouch 3G. Keep up the great work!!

P.S. Can you please hurry up with the apps section?? Thanks!!!

  51. I love the fact that I can get to you from my droid using nubinews. I love all the info that you provide from all fronts.

The only thing I think that can be improved is the use of embedded videos on the mobile site. Android does not support this at this time. Can you just make all of the video content access youtube directly so we can see the videos on the go.

Keep up the good work! Looking forward to more droids.

  52. Love the phone coverage and app reviews, but would like some more dev focused content.

  53. First, love the site. I’m always browsing to check up on any news to read up on. What I’d like to see is an widget that would automatically alert you to any post hitting the news page. Other than that, keep up the excellent work.

  54. I honestly love your android coverage. However, I feel like sometimes the most important feature (from an uninformed consumer perspective) is often overlooked: The Market! I know you cover high profile releases like Google’s own apps and Layar, but a weekly recurring feature on a new app each time might be something that really drives home how the market is thriving, even if it doesn’t get as much coverage as apple’s store. You wouldn’t necessarily need to cover only new apps (at first) since there is plenty of apps that few people have heard of. This is not something that I see many other blogs do for android (I mostly see single articles like “Top 10 games” or “Top 10 productivity apps”, but nothing recurring). Keep up the good work!

  55. Awesome! Phandroid rocks and it’s the best Android News site out there, I’ve been subscribed to this page using the RSS feeds since it was open :]
Nice job and keep it up Phandroid!

  56. Add more app reviews as well as phone usage reviews… keep it up!

  57. Love it, the site is constructed nicely and we get plenty of great Android information. Sometimes it seems like there is a delay in news coming from phandroid, bu other than that it’s a very nice site which is in my daily routine to visit!

  58. Congratulations on your achievement!

Your web site is my one stop shop for android news, ever since I learned about the android. I have the RSS feed set up at work so I can be on top of news as it comes out checking it constantly. As stated above sometimes the loading time takes a bit, but as seen by your milestone, I can see why it a takes a bit longer.

    Keep up the good work!

  59. To be honest, I’m actually very happy with this site. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I’m more than just a little impressed.

  60. Huge fan, I LOVE photos and specs of up and coming phones, even the speculative non-USA stuff (but to satisfy others who don’t want the non-USA stuff, perhaps just better up front labeling of confirmed regions, providers, etc, at the beginning of a story). Software and hardware reviews are always welcome, never too many, keep up the good work!

  61. Also (I just thought of this), I would love to see a section for “Apps we would like to see” where readers submit ideas for apps and the rest of the community can upvote or downvote suggestions. Given a reasonable amount of time, there could be a pretty healthy list that developers can then go to for inspiration. I don’t believe there is anything like this specifically for android applications and it has the potential to really give developers opportunities to make some cash as they would already know that the community wants the app. Give each suggestion a comments section to act a as catalyst for discussion. The closest thing I can think of to the perfect model of this system is canonical’s feature request system for ubuntu.

  62. Love the site. Great information and always very timely. My suggestions:
    1. At times the load time seems to be a little slow. Some days its good and some days it isn’t so good. I would work on that.
    2. I would love to see more information about the carriers of the various phones. Which have been confirmed. Which haven’t been confirmed. Which are rumored. Are any of the phones open to all carriers. Etc.

  63. I follow you on Google Reader and I enjoy your articles. +1 on what Art said, more app reviews would be welcomed. Keep up the good work!

  64. Great site guys, glad to see your back online.

The only recommendation I would add, is that most of my comments do not post to the site, this is the 2nd time posting this one. Not sure if you guys block/filter but its sort of frustrating.

    Thanks,

  65. The site is pretty awesome. I use Google Reader to read the your content daily. I would like to see more app reviews and even app comparisons not only with other apps in the Google Market but in other markets as well. It would be interesting to see how some Android apps compare against iPhone apps or even apps that are on both markets (like Loopt, which doesn’t have all the functions for Android like it does for iPhone).

Thanks and keep up the good work!

  66. This is the best place to get android news updates. All the other places lag behind or just have the “Big” announcements. You guys do a great job of staying on top of things. Just get those top link sections filled out (Phones, apps, store, etc.) and your site will be solid!

  67. Great job! I check this site several times a day and am a huge android fan! Just waiting till Verizon has a decent Android phone. Thanks and keep up the great work!

  68. I would like to see more app reviews, as far as hardware is concerned there are plenty of places you can see, hear about new hardware, but there are so many apps that could use a good review.

  69. I like how often you guys post updates. I think you guys have more daily posts than most of the other Android sites. Keep up the good work!

  70. This will sound like a*s kissing, but you ARE the best Android blog around. However, please bring back the podcast — it was THE ONE and only, and now we don’t even have that :)

Keep up the good work, guys.

  71. A review of some of the custom roms available for flashing to our phones would be awesome!

  72. I know you are working on it but it bears repeating that an app review/ranking is deperately needed. The market is getting so cluttered now that some order needs to be made and your site is a perfect place.

  73. I think the site is great, and always have fantastic articles to stay caught up on the andriod news. Maybe every once in awhile, give a little more hands on with a device for the hardcore users, like real time battery life and such. Maybe even a few more really great apps you would suggest too?

  74. you guys do an awesome job.. best source for android information

  75. hey good work guys!
you are in my daily rotation of websites I check when I wake up and before I go to bed (and even more during my time at work hah!)
I’d love some more news with verizon and android, I cant wait for it any longer!

  76. More app reviews please!!! Especially homebrew apps that often go by the wayside on other sites.

  77. Phandroid is my favorite Android news source. How about a weekly favorite app review/spotlight?

  78. + I love that you cover *every* single phone. Keep it up!

+ I want to know more about how Android is going to disrupt the telecom service sector more.

+ FYI: I read your items via Google Reader

+ I want to know more about keyboard UI adventures: http://www.chicagologic.com/index.htm and http://ignorethecode.net/blog/2009/08/11/retype-c/

    Keep up the good work!

  79. I think it has been said several times already…

One – the Phones section has vast potential but needs to be updated more frequently. Some of the phones have had specs published in the news but they haven’t made the transition into the phones section. Also, considering Android is starting to show up on different hardware (MIDs, tablets, Glass …) perhaps the section should be renamed “Hardware” or “Devices” to increase flexibility.

Two – it is dissappointing to see that there have been no app reviews or even synopses posted in the apps section yet. While the hardware news is important, what will really define the success of the Android platform is the software.

I love how the site is organized, it just needs to update and expand its content. Keep up the good work!

  80. It would be nice if your site maintained a list of “must have” android apps.

  81. Phandroid seems to have alot of inside news on many of the android happenings. They also have exclusive Live Event coverage, like with the Hero launch. I’ve been with the site for a while, and I think that there should be a TOP 10 list of apps (user submitted choices, the admin’s top 10, etc.) Another one of my gripes is that when you compare how quickly the news comes in to sites like BGR, and even Phonearena, Phandroid seems really far behind. I’d also love a Twitter or even youtube channel with reviews of apps, roms, phones, and media coverage.

  82. It is my number 1 source for Android news. I love it and I have been hooked up with since it started. Excellent job. First thing I do in the morning check feed from your website. The website used to be really really slow but now I can see it is much better and faster. I have been waiting and wondering what it would be there under APPS link at your website. Thanks for the great job and keep it up please.

  83. Awesome android coverage. I’m always checking back just-in-case some new news came out.

I agree with the previous commenters, more content is always welcome. Especially since this is the easiest place to find android information.

  84. This is definitely the place I go for android news. You’re doing a great job.

    Congrats on the milestone.

    – mark

    p.s.
even though there are lots of cool android phones popping up, be sure to keep covering the G1. A bit self-serving I know, since that’s the phone I have, but…… ;-)

  85. This is the best site on the web by far, Others just copy the content as it is always on here first…

    Keep up the good work

  86. I’ve been enjoying your site since earlier this year, and I’ve added it to my Google Reader and I read it on a daily basis. I think more app and accessory reviews would be the thing I’d like to see most. Keep up the good work!

  87. I have really enjoyed your twitter updates via sms. Love knowing things as they come off the press!

  88. You’re always on top of the latest buzz, however the site could stand a few improvements.

The biggest thing I would like to see is the Phones page updated more frequently. I hate searching through old posts for stats and pictures.

The Apps page is very barren (I know, it’s in the works). Perhaps at the very least, list some relevant posts there until whatever awesomeness you’re working on is complete?

The manufacturers page doesn’t load quite right. The feed in the right column is pushed down, and what’s the deal with the text-links at the top? The list below is formatted nicely though.

The store, while easy to navigate by itself, is the only page that doesn’t link back to the http://ydfgg.com/ when you click the “Home” link or Phandroid logo (besides the forum which provides a separate link at the top). Also once you’re in the store, the “Store” menu disappears from the horizontal menu. It’s a little confusing. If you want to get back to the main page, you end up having to navigate to another page (Carriers, Phones, etc) and THEN click Home or the logo.

Minor complaints, but certainly some things that could be easily modified. Keep it up, guys!

  89. The layout and color scheme of the page is pretty good, I’m really excited that this site exists because Android seems to be the wave of the future. I feel though that the site should bring back its Podcast and feature a column by a person who knows their way around the platform and make observations on where this platform is going.

    Thanks,
    MG

  90. Hi guys,

I’d like to see a development section on the site. Not just reviews for new apps, but also development information on how to code one’s own apps and get them on the android market (like course content). What would a Phandroid app look like? Seems to me it should be on the market if it isn’t already! :) Are any of you coders?

Other than that, I enjoy the format and additionally wish for swifter updates, though I know that is probably resource dependent for you guys.

  91. Without phandroid, I will lose my only go-to location for HTC Hero news/reviews/rumors. I can’t wait to get my own hands on one. Now a bit more detail into some the Android apps would be fantastic.

  92. This site is awesome. Nothing negative I really can say. Information as timely as it gets, which is very important to me. Also the articles upcoming products is great. It would be nice if the apps part of the site was complete, and also maybe a FEW more (not many) how-to-do articles. And reviews on custom ROMs, organized in an easily browsable format.

  93. phandroid rocks! keep up the good work!

  94. Congratulations on your page views. I visit the site everyday so you must be doing something right! ;)

What I’d like to see on the site is in-depth application reviews with perhaps a dedicated section that highlights the current “best” in a variety of categories. It would be similar in concept to Maximum PC’s “Best of the Best” feature. It’d be great to see these apps pitted against whatever the leading comparable app on the iPhone is as well.

Also, special articles or editorials would be nice. For example, an article highlighting Google Voice could be interesting and informative. Both an overview of the service and how the official Google Voice app and Evan Charlton’s GV app leverge it on the Android platform. Stuff like that.

  95. I read your site every day. I comment regularly as well. keep up the good work, etc.
for your ‘Apps’ button on top, you might want to consider coping the style of this site:
    http://www.cyrket.com/
I always use that to check on new apps when i’m at a PC instead of my phone.

  96. Great site. Occasional long load times for the site can get annoying, but other than that the site is awesome.

  97. You should invite readers to write articles some times! Hope I win!

  98. Definitely the first site I go to for Android info! Sometimes I find the info on another site first but as soon as it’s up on here, I read it again!

Htc Hero being my first phone I kept coming to this site for any sort of info and I learnt about Android. woop

    You’ve made me a Phandroid!

I don’t really care if I don’t win but I luff this site!

  99. Hello Phandroid,
I love your site , I read it 5 to 6 times a day, I get a lot of info out of it but if you include android phone comparison that will be great.
Keep up with the good work.
    Thanks a lot.

  100. I like that y’all incorporate video demonstrations along with articles sometimes. I think that doing more of that will increase the site’s popularity because its more intuitive for visual learners like myself.

  101. I love this site! It’s definitely the best place to go for all my android news. I honestly would not change a thing. And i love your logo.

  102. I love the collections of all the related videos and demos of the phone. Keep that up as much as possible.

There is one feature I’d really like to see in the “Phones” section, though it’s not too needed with just a few Android phones on the market, but with so many coming out it will be increasingly useful.
The feature would be an easily comparable spreadsheet of the phone specs and features (screen size, tested battery length, camera pixels, price, etc). It would be great to be able to compare the phones all at once rather than writing down all the information from a bunch of different pages.

But thanks for the site. I love Android and having this great repository of information is amazing!

  103. Great job in general so far. Would be nice if you linked to more detailed technical specs, e.g. those from pdadb.net. Also, a gripe I have with most phone sites is no at-a-glance icon, tag, category or something that lets us know whether the phone is bound for Europe, US, Asia, elsewhere, or unknown.

  104. Great site. You guys put up the news fast. Before I found you guys, I always see other phone sites that I subscribe to credit you guys for Android stuff. So I came here and love the resources you guys have put together and organized. Now I’m subscribed to this site reading anything about Android.

Anyways, that only other thing I can see that would benefit people are reviews. I know a lot of other sites already do this, but perhaps you could have a review page and link all the reviews to the other sites for certain phones.

  105. I really enjoy the frequent updates so I can stay up to date with all of the Android stuff. I would like to see the phone section updated a little, though. Also hopefully we will be able to see the app section eventually :)

  106. Excellent source of Android info. One of the first site I pull up to start my day off right. I love the Android app as well.

The site needs an Android Market search tool.

  107. This is my #1 site for Android news! You guys do a great job! Keep it up!

  108. This is a great site. If I ever get an android phone this is one of the first places I would go for apps and info.

  109. While there aren’t a ton of phones to search through using the phones section of Phandroid yet, being able to search for specific features in addition to searching by carrier, manufacturer, and release status would be really cool. It would be really helpful once more android phones are released and we have more to choose from.

  110. I like your logo but I think it takes to mutch of the page up.
Could you perhaps make it smaller so the title aria does not have all this “Blank Space” and compatize the menu area?
Currently Your logo, Menu and Add area takes 300 vertical pixles! You can keep it all just make it smaller. When viewing on my phone (lanscape) it takes almost the full screen of logo.
Aagin its not a bad logo or menu it just take up to mutch screen an takes away from the site content.

  111. The only gripe I have of this site is the comments. I can come one day read all the comments of one post, then notice the number of comments went up, but the bottom(last) one is still the same, so the comment got inserted somewhere in the middle. Highly annoying.

  112. You guys are doing great! Android is an awesome OS and you report the news that the big guys (i.e. engadget, ars) sometimes miss about it. And the site design is beautiful!

  113. hey guys
this website is asweome i always come here to stay up to date with anything android,it would be asewome if you guys made a widget on the android market, like an rss feed.

  114. I like how this site is real simple and yet to the point. Its real easy to navigate and I am looking forward to more interesting stuff. This site is my main source of android news.

  115. You can’t beat the content and I love the layout… with one exception. You guys need a mobile site for us poor Android-less people that struggle with lesser-abled (WM) phones. Keep up the awesome!

  116. I’d like to see your Apps page work similar to your Phones section, or similar to other online databases like gdgt.com.

Your Manufacturer page needs to be updated so that all of the names aren’t just listed left-aligned at the top. Make it a dropdown or something, it looks ugly as it is.

Your Phones page is great. It’s modern, AJAX’d, and web 2.0. Do more like that.

  117. i’d like to see more reviews of apps and possibly links to non-market apps that you’ve tested out and work well.

  118. I agree that the Web server is a little pokey. But then, I love getting your Tweets… the easiest way to stay up-to-date with your awesome news and views. Thanks!

  119. You guys got me hooked, the amount you update your home page with new stories is really outstanding.

  120. I’m a patient man. I have been waiting for a long time for “the” android phone to come out in the US. I’m still waiting for it, and I use your site as my #1 source to find the latest news.

I think your phones section is great. It’s organized well and has a lot of information for each device. I especially like the related News & Forums for each device.

The site is a little ad-heavy and could probably use a round of re-design, but it’s understandable given your position I think it’s all understandable. Here’s hoping Google throws some funding at you guys!

  121. Congrats Phandroid! Been a wild ride for Android as a whole and glad you guys have been there to cover it.

  122. Two main things:

Get your Apps section finished! I’m sure you guys are working really hard and we’re all psyched to see it!

Restart your podcast – why did you even stop in the first place? I really enjoy it, and the android community needs a voice – literally!

    Hugh

  123. Get the apps section finished. Provide information on upcoming release dates and hardware in the works. Have a developer section/forum.

  124. Great website, my default for any information about phones.

It would be nice if you separated news by country, so one might be able to search only US or only UK or whatnot. It was very disappointing when i figured out that the T-Mobile had the galaxy finally… in the UK.

Also, a search system for (good) apps and their descriptions would go a long way. Reader/editor suggestions on what some good games are, or what is the most comprehensive and useful shopping app would be great.

  125. I check the site often and its nice to see rumours of new phones, and hardware. however when its only rumours and the articles tend to be rather skinny i don’t usually feel its all the filling like others said, some indepth reviews of hardware, and more interest in apps on the Android market would be great.

  126. Get rid of the default avatar and background on your twitter profile.

  127. Excellent work. Keep going!

  128. Always snooping around on my g1 to see if you guys hav any updates on the samsung galaxy… o.O soooo easy to navigate on my g1 to get quick updates frm you guys.

  129. Great news, one thing I would like is the ability to comment within your news app. I would also like an app section on the site with reviews and polls. Other than that stay on top of the news. Peace.

  130. Great site. One of the best things about it is that it loads well on a pda, it’s easy to read and it is not over complicated. Good info – straight up!

  131. I love your Android app. One simple suggestion: the spinning updating icon in the upper right corner of the Android app is lopsided when it spins. It makes it look kind of funky.

  132. all i hope for is that your podcast can stream on android. thats how i listen to most of them.

  133. You guys at phandroid have been with me since the begining of my love for all that is android. Not only have you kept me in the loop since before I even had my g1, but I have followed you every day sence.
I have you bookmarked on nubinews and several computers I use. Thanks for all the great info! I am excited for what’s to come for the community and I’m happy to be a part of it all.
    Keep up the good work!!!

  134. I’ve had a daily dose of your site since it’s inception.Never missed it once and its doing a great job. I just hope some of your news should also focus on other countries aside the USA. Sometimes android fans from other countries feel left out. But in all,you are doing an excellent job.

  135. I would like to see more news in a day about Android.

  136. great site to keep me abreast of the android world news.

  137. Great site, I’d like to see a section dedicated to either developing new apps and/or featuring apps currently in development

  138. Love the site double bar is a little confusing love the site though!! kudos on the gazillions of hit this month!

  139. Hi. Love the site. Great source for insider info. If I could change one this is the amount of new posts per day. I am subscribed to the RSS feed and it’s a little overwhelming to come in the morning and have 10+ posts of this one site. Other than that, awesome!

  140. Phandroid.com has been one of the sites where I gather all the latest info about ANDROID. I love it and have you on my RSS feeds.
As a feedback I would like to say that the site takes a wee-bit of time to load, kinda a bit on the slower side atleast compared to other sites.

  141. I love phandroid, it is one of about 10 android blogs that I check several times a day. the layout is good and loads fast, this is important! I would like to see more app reviews as well as more “expert” information (you have some of this, but more posts about less used features or apps available only on rooted phones, etc)

  142. Hello!
I like that you discuss more than whatever handset is coming down the pike– I could care less about handsets actually, but I really like the stories about where the OS is going and what the carriers are doing.

Also, thanks for giving us full stories in the feed readers, instead of a 50 word teaser. Man, I hate it when sites do that.

  143. I enjoy Phandroid, it is one of the few RSS feeds I follow. I enjoy all the news, rumors, and chance to discuss. I’ve noticed that you don’t follow all the Android phones or more of their rumors, I’d wish to see that. Otherwise if you finish up some of those “under construction” pages, those would add that much more to the content and thus value to the site.

  144. As a complete novice to the android phone community, this site proved to be an excellent source of the basic information that I needed and also information that I didn’t think I would be interested in before reading it. You’re doing a great job being an informative platform for newcomers.

  145. Your articles on the latest and greatest apps on the Market are much appreciated. I used to be able to check up on all the new apps everyday but there’s so many these days, mostly crap, that I can’t really be arsed anymore. But you’ve pointed me to some great apps that I would have otherwise missed so cheers!
However, a dedicated app section, or a monthly best of segment would be brilliant thanks!
I also always love Rob’s determination to stay unbiased and stuff, but how he always invariably slips into Phandroid mode at the sign of any bad talk of Android! But that’s what this site’s all about.
Cheers for the great work guys. Here’s to a million monthly page views!

  146. I choose this website over engadget for android information any day… I have been coming to this website for a while :)

  147. I love this site for up to date news and excellent forums but I’d like to see some more Canadian content. Not much goes on up here so it can’t be that hard to report on. Also, the phones section should be updated more often. A tutorials section would be nice as well..

  148. Thank you for making so much android information available via RSS. Fits very well into my passive information gathering lifestyle. Thanks!

  149. I love how you keep fresh information coming. I love the constant updates. I love the “rumors” about all of the phones that I might get when I get out of my contract…

  150. I would like to see more android specific apps. I like the spoof app ads, but if you took out the google adds on the right and put in some adds for Apps or something, I think it would make the site more contiguous and relevant. (big words)

    thanks

    AND MORE CONTESTS LIKE THIS!!!!

  151. I am thoroughly enjoying this website as I gear up to buy an android phone this fall. I would like to see the Phones section updated more with the rumors and facts you guys collect with regards to each phone. I find myself trying to find old posts (sometimes unsuccessfully) as I am trying to figure out which android I want, or which one I want to wait for. For instance I remember one rumor had either the Moto Morrison or the Sholes with a proximity sensor, but I don’t remember which one, and can’t find the article.

    Overall, great site for information!

  152. You guys have the nice phandroid animation, but only as a youtube video. why not have it as a flash logo that is over the original, so if someone doesn’t have flash they just see the normal logo, but if they do, they see the nice animation.

  153. Great site! Usually the first place I go to get information about Android. Need to bring back the podcast.

  154. This is one of my major sources of info on Android (Google site is first, of course).

    Just a couple of suggestions:

    1. App reviews – both by your team as well as your readers.
    2. Dev Page – providing small developers with resources (hosting apps, etc.) would allow a single site where everyone, developers and users alike, to check what’s cooking, etc.

    Keep up the good work!

  155. great site – i’m a recent reader and love it. my suggestion would be to stay on top of the Phones area. this would be awesome if it could turn into the standard de facto for info on all the android phones.

thanks for your hard work guys

  156. I really like this website because of the non-stop android reviews and the ‘Android Phones’ section. It’d be cool if you introduced an “App of the Month/Week” feature.

  157. Adding a sort of vote section, voting of tiny things, like minimum inbuilt memory people could live with, screen size etc that could eventually lead to an ideal phone requested by the masses over on phandroid. This could be later sent out to manufactures as a petition… i guess. :D

  158. Have a limit of the number of comments you see! ;)

  159. Awesome site. Not much that I would say to change, although more coverage on apps and their developers would be nice.

  160. I would like, I guess still early, to see more on how android devices are being used, for productivity side, such as outlook, ppt, etc, on top of the typical web, mapping, and games.

  161. Android is THE mobile OS, and Phandroid is THE site for relevant news.

  162. You do a great job as it is. The only thing I would suggest is make your rss feed easier to find or create a mobile friendly version of the blog.

    Take it easy

  163. Just want to say, that I check Phandroid daily for news on upcoming Android mobiles. I really love your “phones” section and it’s easy overview of available, upcoming and rumored Android phones.

    Keep up the good work.

  164. My only suggestion is to get someone to look over your articles before being published in order to eliminate grammatical errors. If you already have someone doing that, fire them and hire me!

  165. You guys are one of the best! I check this site out almost every single day! A couple of things Phandroid should offer is a voting section, enable posters to edit their post, and hurry up with the apps section. Great job guys!

  166. it would be nice to have a review section for things like apps, hardware, accessories and custom roms builds.

also the apps section you have here has been telling me something awesome will happen very soon any day any second for quite some time.

  167. Oh I so can’t wait for the apps section. Excitement excitement.

One thing though: The Phones page is a bit screwed up. After it loads, the images disappear again and I have to open the dropdown menu. Then they reappear. Weird. Also it should be updated at the same time as you post news/rumors about new phones ;)

    Great site, love it.

  168. Site is smooth and a pleasure to read. Living in Australia means feeling that the world is leaving you by in terms of tech product rollouts, Phandroid helps to keep me in touch!

    Michael

  169. Always — well usually — enjoy news and rumor mill @ Phandroid! Nice, mostly unbiased perspective, gives the pause that refreshes.

  170. Awesome site. Finally the first to deliver some bits! More app reviews please. Don’t be a post whore, keep the info pure.

  171. i love your articles. not only how they cover everything android, cuz i have a g1, but also how i gives me and most other readers hope. for example, when i read the article saying that the g1 may still get the sense ui, i was very excited and filled with hope. all your articles has some kindd of good news that fills its readers with hope and happiness. thank you phandroid

  172. The first time i came to your website I was looking for more information regarding the htc hero and boy did I hit the jackpot. Ever since then I’ve enjoyed reading your articles, watching your videos and commenting on your forums. The website has really helped me alot in understanding everything android. One thing that would be really helpful would be a tutorial/help video for people trying to set up their, in my case htc hero phone, for US networks. I did end up getting help from the forums but a help video would be fantastic. Thanks again for maintaining such an awesome site!

  173. Thank you for being the best android news and information website..
I would really like to see an application top 20 (not like the Android Market where the popularity determines the leader, but where the functionality and quality determine the position).
I would also like to see your opinion on what new applications are noteworthy each week, going through the market’s new apps can be a very lengthy and futile process for all of us.

    Thank you!

  174. I would like to see App reviews :D

  175. I like the site and I’m following preparing for a purchase someday. I look forward to more from this site: application listings and both hardware and software reviews. Keep it coming.
    Cheers.

  176. It’s a great site overall! I guess I’d like to see more about the software as well.

  177. You guys rock. The effort and time that you put towards getting the most up to date info out to the masses is something that needs to be recognized. The articles are awesome and seem to be geared to both the techie and newbie at the same time. Your unselfish dedication towards getting the info and its source out to those of us that refresh your site multiple times an hour with our hunger towards android news and views is second to none…..we should be offering you and your team with amazon cards, and with your untired devotion, a few starbucks cards would suffice as well….Thanks for all that you do and viva la phandroid…………….
