Pierre Cardin Releases “Designer” Android Tablet; Its Modest Specs Don’t Make Believers Out of Us

5

Designer phones are all the rage, apparently, so why not bring the elegance over to the bigger screen? Pierre Cardin, a world-reknown designer label, has put their stamp on a designer tablet.

While it looks nice, those of us who know better can see that this is no different than those cheap Chinese knockoffs that popup every day. Except now it has Pierre Cardin’s logo on it. And suddenly people will want it.

You’re getting a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 (single core) processor, Android 2.2, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. It’ll apparently come with a nice leather cover to mask the fact that it’s most likely a Shenzhen knockoff. Sorry Cardin, but it’s going to take more than a logo to fool any of us into taking a second look at this thing. You might have better luck with the Paris Hilton or Justin Bieber crowds, though. The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

Its known as the Dropad A8/HeroTab C8, it is a decent little tablet(I own one) along with my Galaxy Tab 7 &10.1. If you want a tablet this isn’t a bad first tablet.
