Razer announces the Kishi Ultra gaming controller for smartphones

0

Razer is no stranger when it comes to gaming controllers designed for smartphones. The company has released various solutions over the years, like the Kishi series. For those looking for an updated model, you’re in luck as Razer has officially announced the Razer Kishi Ultra.

The Kishi Ultra is the latest mobile gaming controller from Razer. It builds off the design of the original Kishi series where instead of it being a separate controller, users can attach their smartphone to it, making it easier to game on the go. The design of the Kishi Ultra has been updated to be slightly bigger to accommodate larger devices.

This includes larger phones and tablets like the iPad Mini. It has a button layout similar to other controllers, so gamers should be familiar with it. There are also Hall Effect triggers, programmable L4/R4 buttons, and pro-grade thumbsticks with anti-friction rings. The controller also comes with Razer’s Sensa HD Haptics that offers vibrations when gaming. Developers can take advantage of this through the Interhaptics SDK to create custom experiences.

If you’ve used any of the Razer Kishi controllers in the past, then this could be a welcome upgrade. It is priced at $149.99 and is available for purchase via Razer’s website or any authorized retailer. Alternatively, you can always grab the original Kishi at a lower price if you’re looking for something cheaper.
